After you watch a saved title how to keep your taste profile useful

Open the title you watched, record your actual reaction through the rating flow, and confirm the displayed rating afterward. Then decide whether to keep the bookmark for a rewatch or remove it from your future options. Saving, viewing and rating are separate states.

Begin with the exact title you watched

Recover the film from your saved list or search it by name and year. If the provider played a remake or another adaptation, make sure you are about to rate that work. A careful identity check protects the usefulness of your history.

Opening a provider from ReelRecs does not establish that you finished the film. You may have stopped, encountered an access problem or chosen something else. Record a reaction only when it represents what you know about your own viewing.

Give the opinion you had

Use the available rating choices honestly. A middling reaction can be useful information, especially when a movie looked promising beforehand. You do not need to match the personal prediction or the friends who recommended it.

Your reaction Useful action
Loved it Record the positive opinion and consider what worked
It was okay Preserve that middle reaction rather than forcing enthusiasm
Disliked it Record your own response even if the film is widely admired
Did not see enough to judge Leave an uncertain opinion unresolved rather than guessing

Complete the rating flow and any comparison steps you choose to undertake. Check that the result is saved before leaving. When the app shows Your Score or Your Rating, read it as your recorded opinion, not the earlier prediction.

Make a separate bookmark decision

A saved title is a candidate you want to recover later. After watching, ask whether that role remains useful. You may want to keep a favorite for a rewatch, show it to a friend or remove it to make the list easier to browse.

Inspect the actual bookmark state on the title. Do not assume that rating automatically removes it or that a filled bookmark proves the film remains unseen. The state should match the purpose you give the list.

Our recorded save-and-recover guide shows Past Lives saved and reopened without adding a rating. It makes clear why a later reaction requires its own action.

Correct a mistake without rewriting history

If you selected the wrong reaction or rated the wrong title, use the current rating controls to review and change it. On the iOS title page, a rated title can open a choice to change, remove or keep its rating. Read the title named in that choice before confirming.

Removing a rating is different from changing a bookmark. Use the action that corresponds to the mistake rather than deleting both kinds of record as a shortcut.

Let the next choice benefit from the reaction

The useful habit is small: record what you thought, then keep or clear the future intention deliberately. Later, inspect a recommendation reason and consider whether it connects to the parts of your taste you recognize.

A single rating change does not guarantee that the next visible suggestion changes immediately. What it does give your account is a more truthful record of your opinion, which is the appropriate foundation for personal recommendations.
