Why a personal or friend score may be missing

A missing score is not a negative rating. Check which score is missing, whether the title has loaded and whether the app is showing an early-read or error message. Personal predictions, your ratings and friend evidence have different requirements. You can still investigate and save a title while a number is unavailable.

Identify the missing number

Start with the label. A missing Friend Score does not erase your own Rec Score. A missing personal prediction does not tell you what the wider community thinks. Read the screen before choosing a fix.

What you see How to interpret it Useful next step
N/A or a missing Friend Score No usable friend number is shown in this view Inspect available reviews or use your own assessment
A missing personal result The view has no personal number to offer Check account setup, loading state and the title details
An early-read explanation The app is signaling a less developed assessment Give more weight to the premise and your own judgment
Score details unavailable with Try Again The explanation request failed Retry after checking the connection
Your Score or Your Rating The displayed value concerns your opinion Review the recorded rating if it seems wrong

The same visible blank can have more than one cause. The screen's own message is more informative than assuming the app has judged the film poorly.

Missing friend evidence is a normal possibility

You may follow people who have not rated that particular film, or the available information may not support a displayed number. A small or new social circle can still use personal recommendations.

In the raw October 15, 2026 Killers of the Flower Moon title capture, the demonstration profile had Rec Score 8.0 while Friend Score showed N/A. The personal investigation could continue: the operator opened the explanation and checked the runtime.

You do not need to invent a friend's opinion or follow strangers solely to make a badge look complete. If a particular person's view matters, ask them or inspect a review they have chosen to share.

An early read is still uncertain

Some titles have less developed score explanations. The app can label the result as an early read and explain that it may update as more information arrives. Treat the score as a starting point and examine the title directly.

A new film can be worth saving even when its available evidence is thin. Waiting for fuller information is also sensible if a rental or a long evening makes the decision more consequential for you.

Separate loading from taste setup

If the whole title page is still loading, give it time to finish before diagnosing a score problem. If the explanation alone fails, use Try Again when offered. Repeatedly changing ratings is not a useful response to a connection failure.

For a new account, complete the current taste setup with genuine familiar titles. A profile needs information about your preferences. This guide does not prescribe a magic number of ratings that guarantees every title will receive a score.

Continue the decision or report a clear mismatch

You can read the premise, check runtime, investigate providers and bookmark a film without treating it as a known personal match. Use a public audience score only as its own source of information.

If a saved rating or label remains wrong after reopening, send feedback with the title, year, app version and action that preceded it. That gives support a specific state to inspect while you keep choosing from other candidates.
