At a Catholic parish, an older pastor’s comfortable place in the Church is unsettled when he’s asked to mentor a young seminarian who questions the established order. Jack Lemmon is Father Farley, a popular, easygoing rector who has stayed in good standing by avoiding hard public stands, while Željko Ivanek’s seminarian forces him into arguments about belief, redemption, and Farley’s own past. As their relationship grows more strained, parish life becomes the backdrop for a personal and institutional reckoning inside the church.
