My Favorite Spy

ActionAdventureComedy93 min

Bob Hope is Peanuts White, a burlesque comic whose resemblance to an international spy gets him pulled into an FBI scheme. Sent to Tangier to impersonate the elusive Eric Augustine, Peanuts finds himself chasing microfilm, dodging enemy agents, and trying to stay one step ahead of a situation built for someone far more capable. Hedy Lamarr's Lily Dalbray enters as Augustine's glamorous girlfriend, then complicates matters further when it becomes clear she has spy business of her own. Mistaken identity drives the plot, with nightclub comedy and Tangier intrigue running side by side.
