The Big Noise
ActionAdventureComedyDramaFamilyRomanceWar74 min
During World War II, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are saddled with protecting an eccentric inventor whose newly developed bomb could matter to the war effort. What begins as a bodyguard job turns into a chain of military mix-ups, bad timing, and the duo’s slapstick confusion as they try to stay close to their charge. Doris Merrick is among the supporting faces around the pair, with the wartime setting framing the comedy around secrecy, uniforms, and an invention at the center of every problem.
