Philanthropy
ComedyDrama110 min
In Bucharest, a cash-strapped schoolteacher gets pulled into a world where pity is a business and every hard-luck story has a price. Trying to eat in places he cannot afford and live beyond his means, he falls in with a smooth operator who teaches him how to invent sob stories, stage desperation, and turn strangers' sympathy into money. What begins as a shortcut to free meals and quick cash keeps growing, drawing him deeper into a system built on performance, corruption, and greed. Mircea Diaconu anchors the film as the man caught between embarrassment, appetite, and a scam that starts to run his life.
