Tamara Drewe
ComedyDramaRomance111 min
Gemma Arterton is Tamara Drewe, a young newspaper writer who returns to her hometown in the English countryside just as her childhood home is being prepared for sale. Her arrival puts her back in the middle of old connections and a small community that keeps close track of who comes and goes. Roger Allam and Dominic Cooper are among the locals caught up in Tamara’s reappearance, as village life starts to tilt around her. The story folds romance, social comedy, and a sharp sense of place into a modern rural tangle of attention, memory, and changing loyalties.
