An Education

DramaRomance100 min

Jenny is a bright London schoolgirl with Oxford in her sights when an older man in a sleek car opens the door to clubs, dinners, and a faster, more glamorous adult world. Carey Mulligan's Jenny is sharp enough to see beyond her sheltered routine, while Peter Sarsgaard brings easy charm and a hint of unease to David, the suitor who upends it. With Alfred Molina and Olivia Williams as Jenny's watchful parents, the film follows a teenage romance as it collides with class expectations, ambition, and the pull of early-1960s sophistication.
