Waitress
ComedyDramaRomance108 min
Keri Russell is Jenna, a gifted pie-making waitress in a small Southern town whose life is hemmed in by a controlling marriage and an unwanted pregnancy. Working the diner alongside her sharp-tongued coworkers, she starts quietly planning an escape just as a new doctor arrives in town. Nathan Fillion’s Dr. Pomatter becomes the one person she begins to confide in, complicating an already fragile situation at home. Between the rhythms of the diner and Jenna’s elaborate pie creations, the story stays close to a woman trying to carve out a future that feels like her own.
