Summer Days with Coo

The story

After surviving more than 200 years into modern Japan, a lone kappa is discovered by schoolboy Koichi and quietly taken in by his family. As Coo adjusts to suburban life, Koichi helps him search for secluded places where other members of his kind might still exist. The film builds its story around the collision of old folklore and ordinary family routines, with voice work from Kazato Tomizawa and Naomi Nishida shaping the household that suddenly has to make room for a secret guest from another age.
