The story
Haruko, a young nursing student, cares for the bedridden Mr. Takazawa at home until Japan’s Ministry of Public Welfare selects him to test Z-001, a computerized hospital bed meant to outperform any human nurse. Haruko doesn’t trust a machine built around efficiency rather than feeling, and the setup turns a domestic caregiving story into a collision between state policy and technology in Tokyo. The voice cast includes Shinji Ogawa and Chisa Yokoyama, with comedy and unease sharing the frame as the experiment moves forward.
