The Spanish Prisoner

DramaMysteryThriller110 min

Campbell Scott is Joe Ross, an inventor guarding a secret process while pitching it to his company at a Caribbean resort. When the deal around his work starts to shift and even his own side becomes hard to read, Joe finds himself isolated, suspicious of his boss Mr. Klein, and newly dependent on a smooth stranger named Jimmy Dell (Steve Martin), who offers help at exactly the right moment. Rebecca Pidgeon threads through the setup as Joe’s assistant, one of the few faces he thinks he can trust. David Mamet builds the story around corporate espionage, confidence games, and conversations where every favor seems to come with a hidden angle.
