L.A. Confidential
CrimeDramaMysteryThriller138 min
After a late-night diner massacre, three detectives in 1950s Los Angeles follow the case into a web of police corruption, tabloid scandal, and Hollywood power. Guy Pearce, Russell Crowe, and Kevin Spacey lead the hunt from different corners of the LAPD, with each man using his own methods as the investigation widens far beyond the original killings. Kim Basinger and James Cromwell round out an ensemble moving through smoky clubs, back-room deals, and a city busy selling its own polished image while violence and ambition keep surfacing underneath.
