Lina, an 18-year-old student newly arrived from Beirut, lands in Paris looking for the freedom she hasn’t found at home. Manal Issa is Lina, moving through unfamiliar neighborhoods, borrowed rooms, university life, and a string of romances with little more than instinct to guide her. As she navigates visas, money, desire, and the shifting rules of a city that can be both welcoming and hard to read, Paris keeps changing around her. Vincent Lacoste and Paul Hamy are among the men and friends who enter Lina’s orbit as she pieces together a life of her own.
