Midnight Run
ActionAdventureComedyCrimeThriller126 min
Ex-cop turned bounty hunter Jack Walsh takes a job hauling a bail-jumping accountant from New York to Los Angeles, only to find half the country chasing the same man. Robert De Niro’s Jack is all blunt force and impatience; Charles Grodin is Jonathan Mardukas, the former Mafia accountant known as the Duke, who keeps talking even as the pressure closes in. With the FBI, a rival bounty hunter, and Mardukas’s old mob boss all converging, their trip turns into a cross-country scramble by plane, bus, and back road.
