Frankie and Johnny
ComedyDramaMusicalRomance87 min
Johnny is a riverboat entertainer and gambler whose luck may be about to change after a fortune-teller points him toward a new “lady luck.” Elvis Presley is Johnny, drifting between musical numbers and card games while his longtime girlfriend Frankie (Donna Douglas) watches another woman enter the picture. As jealousy flares and Johnny chases a turnaround at the tables, the film turns the old Frankie-and-Johnny setup into a bright, busy mix of romance, comedy, and riverboat showmanship.
