ActionAdventureDramaRomanceWar112 min

As the French and Indian War rips through colonial America in 1757, frontier scout Hawkeye leads two British sisters and their escort through dangerous territory after a Huron attack. Daniel Day-Lewis is Hawkeye, a white man raised by the Mohican Chingachgook (Russell Means) and his son Uncas; Madeleine Stowe's Cora Munro is the colonel's daughter whose path becomes entwined with his. Moving between forest skirmishes, military forts, and uneasy alliances, the story folds romance and revenge into a fight for survival amid British, French, and Native American forces.
