Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring
DramaRomance103 min
On a remote lake, an old monk lives in a small floating temple with the boy he is teaching to follow the same path. As the child grows and the seasons turn, the monastery becomes the setting for a life unfolding in stages, from innocence to adolescence and adulthood. Oh Yeong-su and Kim Young-min are among the figures carrying that passage through time, while the film stays closely tied to the quiet routines of Buddhist practice, the isolation of the temple, and the changing landscape around it.
