In a small South Korean province in the 1980s, a string of rapes and murders sends local detective Park Doo-man into a case he can’t control. Song Kang-ho is Park, a cop who leans on instinct and coercion, while Kim Sang-kyung’s Seoul detective Seo Tae-yoon arrives with a colder, more methodical approach. As leads collapse and pressure builds, the investigation grows messier and more violent, exposing deep rifts between the men assigned to stop the killer. Directed by Bong Joon Ho and based on a true case, the film follows a murder hunt shaped as much by police failure and desperation as by the crimes themselves.
