Talk Radio

DramaThriller110 min

Barry Champlain (Eric Bogosian), a contemptuous Dallas talk-radio host, is on the verge of national syndication when the hatred circling his show starts closing in. Over one long weekend at the station, anonymous callers, eager fans, and outright threats push Barry's needling on-air persona into something more reckless off the mic too. Ellen Greene threads through the fallout as his ex-wife, one of the few people who sees past the performance. Directed by Oliver Stone, the film keeps its focus on the studio, the phone lines, and the way provocation turns into danger when an audience feels invited to answer back.
