Blue Collar
CrimeDrama114 min
Fed up with mistreatment from management and union brass alike, three Detroit auto workers decide to rob the safe at their own union headquarters. Richard Pryor is Zeke Brown, working the assembly line alongside Harvey Keitel’s Jerry Bartowski and Yaphet Kotto’s Smokey James, each squeezed by money problems and dead-end factory life. The break-in starts as a desperate grab for cash, but it quickly exposes a wider web of corruption around the men who are supposed to represent them. Blue Collar ties its heist premise to shop-floor tension, labor politics, and the strain of life inside a Rust Belt car plant.
