Prizzi's Honor
ComedyCrimeDramaRomance130 min
Charley Partanna is a hitman whose loyalty to the wealthy Prizzi crime family runs deep, until love complicates the arrangement. Jack Nicholson's Charley falls for Irene Walker, and Kathleen Turner gives Irene the same cool professionalism Charley recognizes in himself: she's a killer for hire too. As their relationship moves forward, mob business, family expectations, and old attachments keep pressing in, especially from Maerose Prizzi, the boss's daughter, with Anjelica Huston bringing a watchful, cutting presence. John Huston frames the underworld as both family enterprise and absurd domestic trap, where romance and contract work keep colliding.
