Linnea Heacock is Jeannie Tyne, a teenager who runs away from her suburban New York home and sends her parents into a frantic search. Buck Henry and Lynn Carlin are Larry and Lynn Tyne, whose hunt leads them to a support group for other mothers and fathers with missing kids. As they move through Manhattan, they keep colliding with the youth culture their daughter has escaped into — auditions, music, marijuana, and a generation that speaks a different language than they do. What begins as a missing-child panic turns into a sharply observed portrait of parents confronting the world just outside their own living room.
