Once Upon a Time in Mexico
ActionAdventureCrimeDramaMysteryThrillerWestern102 min
A corrupt CIA operative recruits a guitar-carrying hitman to stop a general and the drug lord backing a coup against the Mexican president. Antonio Banderas is El Mariachi, pulled back into bloodshed when Johnny Depp’s Sands starts manipulating players on every side. Robert Rodriguez folds espionage into his Mexico-set outlaw mythology, moving from cartel intrigue to baroque gunfights as soldiers, assassins, and power brokers close in. Eva Mendes and Willem Dafoe circle the conspiracy in a story built on revenge, shifting loyalties, and a hero whose reputation makes him useful to everyone around him.
