Middle-aged Montreal professor Remy learns he is dying of liver cancer, and the news pulls his scattered circle back to his hospital bedside. Rémy Girard is the ailing academic, while Stéphane Rousseau’s Sébastien, his estranged son and a successful businessman in London, comes home and starts using money and connections to cut through the healthcare system on his father’s behalf. As Remy’s ex-wife Louise tries to manage the crisis, old friends and former lovers begin to reappear, turning the room into a fraught reunion filled with old arguments, shared memories, and unfinished family business.
