Good Night, and Good Luck.
Drama93 min
In early-1950s America, CBS journalist Edward R. Murrow takes his nightly broadcast into a direct confrontation with Senator Joseph McCarthy and the anti-communist investigations driving the country’s climate of fear. David Strathairn is Murrow, with George Clooney’s Fred Friendly at his side as producer and ally inside the newsroom. Jeff Daniels and Patricia Clarkson are part of the CBS team navigating the pressure around a story that reaches far beyond the studio. Directed by Clooney, the film follows Murrow’s stand against McCarthyism and the institutional strain that comes with putting a powerful politician under the camera.
