The Wedding Party
ComedyRomance92 min
As his wedding closes in, Charlie gets cold feet and starts sabotaging the plans, even trying to steer his fiancée Josephine back toward her former boyfriend. Raymond McNally is the wavering groom at the center of the chaos, while Jill Clayburgh and William Finley move through the surrounding tangle of family, friends, and exes; Robert De Niro appears in the ensemble as well. Co-directed by Brian De Palma with Cynthia Munroe and Wilford Leach, the film turns pre-wedding panic into a crowded farce of awkward visits, bad ideas, and social obligations that keep pushing the ceremony forward.
