After a brief fling in London, Sharon discovers she is pregnant, and she and Rob have to decide whether two near-strangers can build a life together. He is an American who returns to stay in Britain; she is suddenly trying to fit an accidental pregnancy into a life that had other plans. What follows is not a sweep into romance but the awkward, funny work of turning panic, attraction, and bad timing into an actual relationship. As they move from hookups to doctors' visits, family expectations, and the daily frictions of living together, Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney play a couple finding out how much chaos comes with growing up fast.
