Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are movers with one miserable assignment: get a crated player piano up a towering outdoor staircase and into Prof. von Schwarzenhoffen’s house. Every step becomes a setback as the load slips loose, crashes back to street level, and forces the pair to start over again. Billy Gilbert is the impatient professor waiting at the top, while a sharp-tongued nursemaid keeps crossing their path on the stairs. Built almost entirely around one impossible delivery, the film turns a simple job into a running battle with gravity, timing, and Laurel and Hardy’s increasingly frayed teamwork.
