DI Humphrey Goodman swaps tropical Saint Marie for Devon when he takes a new post in his fiancée Martha’s hometown, hoping the move will bring a steadier life than his last assignment. Kris Marshall returns as the well-meaning, unconventional detective, while Sally Bretton’s Martha is building a future alongside him in Shipton Abbott. Instead of a quiet fresh start, Humphrey finds a town with an unexpectedly busy caseload, where village routines, family ties and local secrets keep pulling him back into one investigation after another.
