At Blackthorn police station in present-day Belfast, rookie officers step into a city where routine calls can turn volatile in minutes. The series follows probationers learning the job on the street, pulled between official procedure, community mistrust, and the pressure to make the right call before a situation spirals. As they answer domestic disputes, drug-related incidents, and gang-linked threats, each shift forces them to choose how far to trust their instincts and their fellow officers. Working alongside seasoned cops who know the cost of getting it wrong, they discover that policing Belfast means navigating not just crime scenes, but old loyalties, fragile neighborhoods, and consequences that do not stay contained.
