At Global Credit, Iris (Toni Collette) is one more temporary worker drifting through an office where the full-time staff barely notice the temps until she falls in with three women in the same position: Parker Posey’s Margaret, who’s fixated on landing a permanent desk, aspiring actress Paula (Lisa Kudrow), and the self-assured Jane (Alanna Ubach). Their uneasy little circle starts to fray when a new hire gets the job Margaret wanted, and a string of office thefts makes the temps the first people everyone suspects. The film stays close to cubicle politics, lunch-break alliances, and the quiet humiliations of disposable work.
