Marshall
CrimeDrama118 min
With the nation on the brink of World War II, Thurgood Marshall is a rising NAACP lawyer sent to conservative 1940s Connecticut to defend a Black chauffeur accused by his wealthy employer of sexual assault and attempted murder. Chadwick Boseman is Marshall, fighting to control a case that quickly becomes tabloid fodder, only to find a segregationist court blocking him from arguing in person. Josh Gad's Samuel Friedman, a young local attorney with little trial experience, becomes his uneasy partner. As the two build the defense together, the trial exposes the racial tensions and public scrutiny surrounding one of Marshall's defining early cases.
