Cop Land

CrimeDramaThriller105 min

Freddy Heflin is the sheriff of Garrison, New Jersey, a quiet river town nicknamed “Cop Land” because it’s filled with off-duty NYPD officers he’s spent years admiring. Sylvester Stallone’s Freddy is treated as little more than a local figurehead until a young cop’s apparent suicide, tied to a controversial shooting, brings Internal Affairs to town. Robert De Niro is Moe Tilden, the investigator asking Freddy to help uncover what happened, while Harvey Keitel’s Ray Donlan stands at the center of Garrison’s police community. Behind the town’s calm facade, Freddy finds corruption, loyalty, and violence tangled together.
