The Railway Man
DramaWar116 min
Years after surviving the Thai/Burma Railway as a British prisoner of war, Eric Lomax is still living with the aftermath of his captivity when he decides to track down the men responsible for his torture. Colin Firth is the older Lomax, with Jeremy Irvine in the wartime years as the young officer whose secret radio brings brutal consequences inside a Japanese labor camp. Nicole Kidman’s Patti enters his guarded life as memories he has tried to bury begin pressing back in. The film moves between WWII imprisonment and a later reckoning with what was done to him.
