Giordano Bruno
Drama123 min
After finding temporary protection in Venice, philosopher Giordano Bruno is pulled back into danger as the Roman Inquisition moves to try him for heresy. Gian Maria Volonté is Bruno, the poet, scientist, and free thinker whose ideas have put him in direct conflict with the Catholic Church, with Charlotte Rampling among the figures in the world around him. The film follows Bruno through refuge, pursuit, and formal accusation, keeping its focus on the machinery of church power and the cost of dissent as his influence spreads across Europe.
