In a rundown flower shop on Skid Row, Rick Moranis is Seymour Krelborn, a shy clerk with a crush on co-worker Audrey. After a solar eclipse, he brings home a strange plant that revives the shop’s fortunes and turns Seymour into a local curiosity — until the thing starts asking for blood. Ellen Greene’s Audrey gives the story its bruised romantic center, while Levi Stubbs supplies the voice of Audrey II, the fast-growing plant with an appetite to match. Frank Oz adapts the stage musical as a mix of doo-wop, slapstick, and creature-feature chaos.
