Samurai II: Duel at Ichijoji Temple
ActionAdventureDrama104 min
After years on the road building his reputation, Musashi Miyamoto returns to Kyoto intent on challenging the leader of the region’s finest fencing school. Toshirô Mifune is the swordsman at the center, more focused on testing himself than on the Otsu who has been waiting for him; Kaoru Yachigusa brings Otsu into the story as the life Musashi keeps holding at a distance. Koji Tsuruta is Kojiro, another swordsman in Musashi’s orbit. To prove his skill, Musashi deliberately walks into the ambushes laid by the school’s followers as the path toward Ichijoji Temple grows more dangerous.
