The Seven Deadly Sins

Comedy113 min

Seven French directors each take on one of the seven deadly sins in a comic anthology that shifts cast and tone from story to story. A domestic squabble over a fly in the Sunday soup escalates toward nuclear war, a movie star is too lazy to tie his own shoe, and a family headed to a funeral keeps stopping to eat and drink along the way. Other sketches turn to greed, pride, lust, and envy. Jean-Pierre Cassel and Jean-Louis Trintignant are among the many familiar faces moving through this 1962 collection.
