This Gun for Hire
CrimeDramaMysteryThriller81 min
When a hitman learns he’s been paid with marked bills, Philip Raven turns on the employer who set him up. Alan Ladd is Raven, a hired killer moving through hotels, trains, and back-room deals as the police close in and he hunts nightclub boss Gates. On the same train out of town, he meets Ellen, a singer newly hired at Gates’s club; Veronica Lake gives her a cool, watchful presence. Ellen is also engaged to the lieutenant leading the manhunt, putting her between the conspiracy around Gates and the fugitive now hiding in plain sight.
