As he steps away from the routines that have defined him, the film follows his awkward attempts to meet new people and imagine a different future for himself. Troisi’s low-key, conversational presence shapes the comedy, turning everyday misunderstandings and hesitations into the story’s rhythm. Fiorenza Marchegiani and Lello Arena are part of the world Gaetano moves through as he tests what it means to start over without entirely leaving his old self behind.
