I Knew Her Well

Drama115 min

Adriana (Stefania Sandrelli), a young woman from the Italian countryside, arrives in Rome hoping to become a movie star and runs headlong into the business’s darker terms. Moving through salons, beaches, and a steady stream of introductions, she is watched, judged, and reshaped by the people around her. Ugo Tognazzi and Nino Manfredi are among the men in Adriana’s orbit as the film tracks her through 1960s Rome, where celebrity, beauty, and status can look glamorous from a distance and far less benign up close.
