In Caracas, a young Frenchwoman runs from her Italian fiancé and turns everyone around her into accomplices, obstacles, or collateral damage. Catherine Deneuve is the spark at the center of the chase, while Yves Montand gets swept into her improvised escape as one bad decision leads to another. What begins as a getaway quickly expands into a chain of misunderstandings, romantic complications, and comic scrapes, with the two leads thrown together by circumstance and the trouble trailing close behind.
