Woman in Chains
DramaRomanceThriller106 min
At a gallery built around modern art and media-ready exhibitions, Josée is living with sculptor Gilbert when she becomes fixated on Stanislas, the austere director showing Gilbert’s work. Laurent Terzieff is Stanislas, whose polished artistic world extends to a private photography habit Josée doesn’t fully grasp; Elisabeth Wiener’s Josée moves closer to him anyway. The film threads romance and menace through studios, apartments, and exhibition spaces, where Gilbert’s sculptures, Stanislas’s camera, and the gallery’s cultivated surface all point toward something darker underneath.
