Honduran teenager Sayra joins the father she barely knows on a northbound trip through Mexico, hoping to reach the United States. Paulina Gaitán is Sayra, traveling with her family atop freight trains and along a route shaped by smugglers, police, and exhaustion. Crossing into the same path is Edgar Flores’s Casper, a young Mexican gang member trying to pull away from the clique that raised him. Their stories meet on the rails, where migration and gang life overlap in a landscape of checkpoints, river crossings, and sudden violence.
