On his first day at a Spanish prison, rookie guard Juan Oliver is knocked unconscious just as a riot erupts, leaving him stranded on the inmates’ side and forced to pass as one of them. Alberto Ammann is Juan, improvising his way through a cellblock now controlled by Malamadre, the feared ringleader embodied by Luis Tosar. As negotiations, surveillance, and shifting loyalties close in around the prison, Juan has to stay useful to the rebellion without revealing who he is.
