Always: Sunset on Third Street
ComedyDramaFamily133 min
As Tokyo Tower rises over 1958 Tokyo, the families and shopkeepers of Third Street navigate work, money, and changing expectations in a neighborhood still rebuilding after the war. The story follows several households at once, finding drama in small setbacks, new arrivals, and the ways neighbors lean on one another as the city transforms around them. Maki Horikita and Hidetaka Yoshioka are part of an ensemble that keeps the focus close to the block, moving between cramped homes, local businesses, and everyday routines where comedy and hardship share the same street.
