Each Dawn I Die

CrimeDramaThriller92 min

Investigative reporter Frank Ross is framed for manslaughter by a corrupt district attorney he has been exposing, and the conviction sends him into prison. James Cagney is Frank, whose certainty that the truth will clear him starts to erode behind bars as the routines, violence, and petty power of jail life close in. There he connects with George Raft’s Stacey, a veteran inmate who becomes an important ally while Frank’s colleagues on the outside keep digging into the case that put him away. The story moves between the frame-up, the cellblock, and the effort to uncover who engineered it.
