A wealthy farmer known for his rudeness and contempt for nearly everyone finds his rigid routine upended when a young woman from the city lands on his doorstep after a breakdown in the rain. Adriano Celentano is the scowling landowner at the center of the standoff, with Ornella Muti as the stranger who refuses to be intimidated by him. Loosely inspired by The Taming of the Shrew, this Italian comedy turns their clash of tempers, class and courtship into a battle of wills between an isolated rural brute and a determined outsider.
