DramaRomance174 min

Returning to his Sicilian village for the funeral of Alfredo, filmmaker Salvatore (Jacques Perrin) is pulled back into the memories that began at the local movie theater. As a boy, he all but lived in the projection booth, where Philippe Noiret’s Alfredo became mentor, co-conspirator, and his closest friend. From the bustle of the cinema to Salvatore’s first love with Elena, the story traces the people and moments that shaped him long before he left home and built a life behind the camera.
